Incapacity Benefit
Incapacity Benefit was a benefit paid to those under the pension age who cannot work because of illness or disability. From the 31st of January 2011 people can no longer apply for Incapacity Benefit. Those who are already claiming incapacity benefits will be changed over to the Employment and Support Allowance by 2014. These include one of the following benefits:
- Incapacity Benefit
- Income Support paid because of an illness or disability
- Severe Disablement Allowance
