The new Housing (Scotland) Bill 2014 is currently progressing through the Scottish Parliament and shall likely introduce some important reforms to the present landlord/tenant legal regime, particularly as relates to Council and Housing Association tenancies (Scottish Secure tenancies and Short Scottish Secure Tenancies) under the previous Housing (Scotland) Act 2001. The 2001 Act shall remain in force as the main statute regulating public sector tenancies, but shall incorporate these reforms.
