New Employment Tribunal Fees & Rules

As of 29 July 2013 a new system of Employment Tribunal fees will come into force in conjunction with the introduction of the new Employment Tribunal (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) Regulations 2013. This set of regs entirely replaces the previous rules of procedure for the Employment Tribunal, in effect constituting a kind of codification.

This is also the first time that users of the Employment Tribunal will have to pay fees to access the system (although in the past the Employment Tribunal did retain the disrection to awards costs in rare circumstances of improper use). These new fees can …
